University-wide, multi- and interdisciplinary
- Core and Disciplinary Honors, University Honors Program:
- Programs in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Exercise Science, Humanities (English, History, Languages Literatures and Cultures, Philosophy, and Theology), Nursing, Psychology, and Physics. Programs vary by major, minimum 6 credits of coursework dedicated to a major project (research, creative, or professional) plus presentation of project; majors that do not offer Disciplinary Honors programs may offer Honors major projects
- Summer Research Fellowships: 11-15 undergraduate summer research fellowships for Core and Disciplinary Honors students. $3,500 each, visit for the most recent call for proposals
- Study Abroad Scholarships: two study abroad scholarships for Core Honors students on 向日葵视频approved programs. $1,500 each
- Study Abroad: students can study abroad at universities in different countries, gain internship or work experience abroad, participate in faculty led programs focused in specific subject areas, and so much more
- The Explorer Challenge
- up to $25,000 in seed money for innovative projects
- The 707 Hub: powered by the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship and the Social Innovation Initiative
- The Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship: helps students develop an entrepreneurship mindset, develop skills and grow their networks
- Signature Programs: Redo the Loo, Big East Start-up Challenge, Silicon Valley Experience, Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers
- The Social Innovation Initiative: support in solving problems in community, city, field, industry or country, Signature Programs include:
- The 707 Hub Funding Opportunities
- The Dorm Fund: pitch to the Dorm Fund Associates for up to $2,500 (reimbursable funding) to help accelerate new ventures ideas
- The Brewed Ideas Challenge: Marquette's annual pitch competition in partnership with Brady Corporation. Finalists build mentor relationships and attend workshops. Live pitch event, awards of $1,000-$7,500.
- The 707 Hub Mentoring Opportunities
- Office Hours with experts: meet with the 707 Hub's Entrepreneur-in-Residence to review ideas.
- Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic Office Hours: confidential 1:1 meetings, scheduled monthly
- Athletic and Human Performance Research Center (AHPRC) Initiative: interdisciplinary, collaborative, and innovative research to understand and enhance performance in athletic, healthy, and clinical populations, $1,500
- The President's Challenge: in partnership with American Family Insurance and Johnson Controls, funding for work that addresses Milwaukee's needs (theme changes every year), up to $50,000
- Global Water Center: water-related research projects including wastewater treatment, rainwater harvesting, and desalination
- Public Health & Equity Fellowship: providing students with immersive and meaningful experience focused in the development of research skills, $3,000 during fall and spring semesters
- Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program: prepares underrepresented, low-income, and first generation college students for graduate school through immersion into research projects and familiarization with the graduate school application process. For rising sophomores to seniors; students attend monthly meetings, engage with scholars on and off-campus, and present research at conferences. Seminar during the spring semester and an 8-week paid summer research project. Housed within the Educational Opportunity Program.

- Prestigious Fellowships: competitive fellowships offer opportunities both nationally and internationally (during the semester and the summer) and during the summer months

- MU4Gold Scholars Program: a two-year multi- and interdisciplinary research-freshmen entry program embedded in the University Honors Program that recruits, mentors, and financially supports students to find research mentors and pursue undergraduate research in their freshmen/sophomore years
- Klinger College of Arts and Sciences Summer Research Fellowships: up to four undergraduate research stipends for faculty-mentored research projects, $3,500 each
- Biological Sciences
- : 1 credit seminar course to introduce you to biological and biomedical research paths
- : first-year, competitive entry laboratory class, designed to give students a head-start in biological research/experimentation and to assist them in finding a research mentor to start their sophomore year
- : as a junior or senior, counts as course requirement (up to 6 credits can be used for major)
- The Launch Internship Program: a mechanism to allow undergraduate majors in the Department of Biological Sciences to earn biology (BIOL) or environmental studies (INES) course credit for relevant internship experiences
- Departmental Summer Research Program: paid independent research projects in laboratories of faculty in the department
- NSF-sponsored REU-summer research program

- Student Peacemaking Fellowships: up to $2,000 to deepen understanding of nonviolence and social change by engaging in local or global peacemaking efforts
- Mini-grants: student research assistant participation on faculty mini-grants, possible roles include transcription, coding, editing, conducting interviews, compiling data, translation, etc.
- Student employment: student researchers with the PARC (Promoting Assets and Reducing Crime) initiative and Peace Works; other opportunities related to interfaith dialogue in Milwaukee and the Center鈥檚 partnership with the Afghan Peace Volunteers. - The O'Brien Student Experience: fellowship in which students gain real-world experience working with journalists from around the world, 3 credits

- Hartman Literacy and Learning Center: undergraduate teachers in training tutor students from the inner city, assess individual reading abilities over time
- Behavior Clinic: a large community-based agency serving inner-city families about young children with development disabilities where research is used to provide knowledge in the field
