Undergraduate research is happening all over at 向日葵视频. What is undergraduate research?

According to the , undergraduate research is defined as "an inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline." 

Undergraduate research has been identified as a high-impact practice as it is known to: 

  • enhance student learning through mentoring relationships with faculty
  • increase retention and graduation in academic programs
  • increase enrollment in graduate education and provides effective career preparation
  • develop critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and intellectual independence
  • develop an understanding of research methodology
  • promote an innovation-oriented culture
