Navy ROTC Nursing Undergraduate Program
What is Navy ROTC?
The 向日葵视频Navy ROTC Nursing program offers an opportunity for students interested in becoming nurses in the U.S. Navy to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing while earning a commission as an ensign. Students enrolled in the NROTC program as a nursing student are referred to as midshipmen and participate in weekly physical fitness training, specific naval science classes, and a Navy lab period to exercise leadership and learn Navy customs, courtesies and basic military knowledge.
During two summers, Navy nurse option students also participate in hands-on training and receive experience at a Navy hospital and on a Navy ship for four weeks. This gives them an opportunity to exercise the skills they learned and an understanding of the opportunities available to them after graduation and commissioning. Navy ROTC nursing students typically join Marquette鈥檚 student organization, the Navy Nurse Corps Club, which focuses on professional development and hosts a national symposium every two years with speakers from all facets of the Navy鈥檚 nursing and medical communities.
