- College of Nursing receives federal funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)-Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) and establishes Project-BEYOND
2011
- College of Nursing receives federal funding from the HRSA-Nursing, Education, Practice, Quality and Retention to continue Project-BEYOND
2012
- College of Nursing introduces 鈥淐ulture and Health鈥� course focusing on the relationship of health care behaviors and beliefs to culture and social structure and fostering appreciation for intercultural competence as a BSN program requirement
2015
- College of Nursing establishes the College of Nursing Diversity Committee
- College of Nursing receives federal funding from HRSA-NWD to continue Project BEYOND-2
2016

2022
- College of Nursing launches MUCN Diversity Website which includes resources for faculty, staff, and students, updates on strategic initiatives focused on equity and inclusion, as well as recent milestones and contact information for engagement with the college community.
2023
- MUCN hosts Gathering of Diverse Nursing Community of Color for students, faculty, and staff. The event features leaders from the Milwaukee Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association and the Greater Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
