Student Organizations
Sigma Theta Tau International
is the nursing honor society and chapters throughout the United States and in other countries. The is housed in the College of Nursing. The mission of the organization is to provide leadership and scholarship in nursing practice, education and research.
Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students and community nursing leaders. Once a year, undergraduate and graduate students with advanced standing are invited to an on-campus induction ceremony.
The Delta Gamma chapter meets formally throughout the year and hosts events such as:
- October awards and Hall of Fame dinner and program
- February meeting and program with two other local chapters
- April Induction Ceremony
- June dinner meeting and program
MUSNA — The ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Student Nurse Association
MUSNA, the ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Students Nurses Association, is a professional organization comprising nursing students at all levels that serves as a liaison between students and faculty. It is a service-based organization whose members volunteer within the university and the surrounding community.
MUSNA encourages students at all levels to actively organize, participate in and facilitate activities. Students are given opportunities to build confidence and leadership skills.
MUSNA is an official member of the , a branch of the .
