Baccalaureate Program in Nursing
向日葵视频nursing programs prepare women and men to be providers of care, leaders of care and members of the nursing profession.
The baccalaureate program is an excellent foundation for continued graduate education in nursing.
As freshmen, students are admitted directly into the College of Nursing. Once admitted, students are guaranteed all required classes and clinical hours. This enables students to complete their degree in four years provided that academic performance is satisfactory. It also facilitates students to participate in College of Nursing activities throughout their undergraduate studies, allowing for gradual assimilation into the nursing profession.
The innovative and rigorous nursing curriculum includes these courses:
- Basic, social and nursing sciences
- Laboratory, clinical practice and simulated learning experiences
- Classes that fulfill the requirements of Marquette鈥檚 core course of study
Students may pursue personal interests through elective courses, nursing study abroad experiences and the Les Aspin Center for Government's internship program in Washington, D.C. Students may also choose to minor in an area of study (e.g., foreign language) or participate in the Veteran Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership Program (VANAP). Specialized program plans are developed for the minor in conjunction with the academic adviser.
