Born and raised in Moscow (Russia), Eugenia Afinogu茅nova received the equivalents of B.A. and M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from Moscow State University (a.k.a. MGU), and a Ph.D. in Spanish Peninsular Literature and Cultural Studies from Georgetown University. She joined 向日葵视频 Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures in 1999. She has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in contemporary Spanish literature, culture, and film. She splits her leisure time (when available) between dancing, cooking, and digital scholarship.
