- Bone void fillers, bone grafts, synthetic bone graft substitutes, and osteoinductive bone graft substitutes
- Pre-clinical testing and evaluation of spinal, orthopaedic, and dental biomaterialas
- Efficacy studies and host-response evaluation
- Decalcified histology, undecalcified histology, microradiography, and high-resolution radiography
- Explant analysis of spine arthroplasty devices, spine arthrodesis devices, and spine biomaterials
- Mechanisms and clinical uses for osteoinductive substances and materials
- Tissue Engineering, which is applicable to dentistry as well as orthopaedics
