Dr. Shrock joined 向日葵视频 in July, 1999, as Dean of the College of Business Administration and Professor of Transportation. He previously served five years as Dean of the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and five years as Dean of the College of Business at Iowa State University. He began his academic career at Arizona State University, serving as Associate Dean of the College of Business Administration and Assistant Dean of the ASU Graduate School in addition to his academic work. His academic work centered principally on motor carrier cost and productivity analysis and transportation policy. His more recent interests focused on enhancing management education, working with the AACSB International, the Association for the Advancement of Colleges of Business Administration, including time as Chair of the Business Accreditation Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors. He stepped down as dean in December 2008, serving as Interim Provost until his retirement in July, 2009.
Dr. Shrock worked for Oldsmobile Division and Delco Radio Division of General Motors Corporation while a cooperative students and as an electrical engineer after graduation. He served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1970.
Dr. Shrock remains interested in transportation policy and higher education, with special interests in advancing management education and in fostering effective use of resources in offering educational programs.
Dr. Shrock and his wife, Sandy, have two children and four grandchildren who are among their greatest interests. Dr. Shrock is a model railroader, avid reader of mysteries, and recent returnee to golf.
