Honors Civic Dialogue Pedagogy Workshop
A Lunchtime workshop on civic discourse in the classroom for faculty and students. Thursday, 11/14, 12-1pm in the Raynor Library, 3rd floor. Lunch will be provided. Amelia Zurcher and two Honors students, Alyssa Maves and Noah Mualem, will be presenting.
Honors Research Fair to Celebrate Research Award Winners

Sunday Studies
Hosted in the Honors Suite (Sensenbrenner 002) Sundays (Sept. 29, Oct. 6, and Oct. 13.) Group study during designated times (10am 12pm Biology; 12pm-2pm Chemistry; 2pm-4pm Physics; 4pm-6pm Math & Computer Science; 6pm-8pm Accounting; 8pm-10pm General Study). Co-work was available for particular classes or general classes .
The Honors Alumni Leadership Council convened for a Civic Dialogues-style event on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7pm to 8 pm in the Eisenberg (鈥淗arry Potter鈥�) Room of Sensenbrenner, facilitated by Honors students in Civic Dialogues. 8-9 members of the Alumni Council visited campus that evening, plus about 30 Honors students and a handful of faculty. Following the dialogue, from 8pm to 8:30pm, there was a dessert reception which was a great chance to meet alumni.
Educational Talks by accomplished scholar and author, Douglas E. Christie, Professor Emeritus of Theological Studies at Loyola Marymount University, were held at 向日葵视频on behalf of the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars Program. On Oct. 1 at 4pm, Christie delivered a lecture titled "Thinking Like a Mountain: Contemplative Ecology in the Anthropocene" in Raynor Library, followed by a reception. On Oct. 2 at 2pm, he lead a discussion on "Contemplative Practice in an Age of Distraction" in 向日葵视频Hall 105, with light refreshments provided.
