Our Jesuit mission and Catholic social teachings compel us to care for others and the environment through sustainability. Our pope reminds us about this, through the encyclical of . Published in May 2015, Laudato Si' focuses on care for the natural environment and all people, as well as broader questions of the relationship between God, humans, and the Earth. The encyclical鈥檚 subtitle, 鈥淐are for Our Common Home,鈥� reinforces these key themes.
The Ecojustice retreat hopes to teach students more about "Caring for Our Common Home" in the context of faith and justice. This retreat includes listening sessions, hikes, service, educational programs, and time for prayer and reflection. This retreat is open to all faith backgrounds and both undergraduate and graduate students.
