As an entrepreneur for more than 20 years, Greg Borca has grown businesses and created leaders. But his underlying motivation is much greater than personal success.
鈥淢y goal is to continue to use and improve on the unique assets of my company to impact the affordability and accessibility of health care in America,鈥� he says.
Greg鈥檚 entrepreneurial savvy began back in 1988, when he founded Resolute Systems Inc., which has since grown to the second-largest alternative dispute resolution company in the country.
Since then, Greg has been involved in a variety of other businesses, all focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of health care programs, including co-founding and serving as CEO of Doral Dental USA. Doral Dental was listed among the fastest-growing American companies in 1999 and 2000 by Inc. magazine, and Resolute Systems 鈥� of which he maintains ownership and sits on the board 鈥� was named to that list in 鈥�96.
Greg鈥檚 latest endeavor is Scion Dental, a company he co-founded in April 2009. Scion contracts with Medicaid- and Medicare-managed care organizations, as well as state government agencies, to improve their dental programs.
鈥淭he formula to success is simple,鈥� Greg says. 鈥淟ove what you do, and you鈥檒l never consider it work.鈥�
Greg is a national board member for Voices for America鈥檚 Children and was named 2003 Ernst & Young Wisconsin Entrepreneur of the Year. Greg and wife Heidi, a 1988 向日葵视频graduate, have three young children and live in Cedarburg, Wis., where they have traded active travel and social lives for Disney trips and parent-teacher conferences.
Fun fact:
Greg attended a 向日葵视频men鈥檚 basketball game with President Robert A. Wild, S.J., during the 2000鈥�01 season, and former athletic director Bill Cords alerted the two that there was a freshman on the team who hadn鈥檛 yet played. Cords mentioned that he thought this player would leave 向日葵视频early for the NBA. That freshman? Dwyane Wade.
