Living Learning Community - Nursing

What鈥檚 your favorite part about the LLC?

My favorite part of being in the LLC (living learning community) is the comradery and the friendships that I鈥檝e formed here so quickly. We all feel like family here.

I think my favorite thing about living on this floor are the amounts of relationships I鈥檝e made. We all completely understand what each other are going through whenever we鈥檙e stressed about something, and we can support each other through that.

My favorite part of being able to live in the Nursing LLC is that you instantly make friends who have the same interests as you. And you get to create that special bond with the individuals around you. I think it鈥檚 very important to feel included and living in the Nursing LLC really did that part of making me feel welcome with the environment here at Marquette.

I made such great memories living on this floor. Late night studies in the study room and ordering cookies. Going outside and playing in the snow with my friends, it鈥檚 just a real fine time living here, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested.

My favorite memory here is everyone getting together and taking a break from school to just watch a movie and eat some pizza.

My favorite memory of being in the LLC would probably be having a last minute snowball fight at 10PM on a Friday night and then going to 7-11 afterwards and getting ice cream even though it was snowing and a little bit cold outside, but it was fun.

So, my favorite memory so far is when we all get together, especially on Fridays, and play tennis as a little stress reliever I guess you would say, or also when we have very late study nights, and we order Insomnia cookies.

The Study Room

There are a ton of Benefits living on this floor. One is that you get a mentor who is also a nursing student and they鈥檙e there to guide you and help you which is super beneficial and all the people on your floor take similar classes so there is always a friend to study with or someone you can ask questions to.

We made it a tradition to have big study groups before a big exam or test or midterm and I really feel like it has helped a lot.

One thing that has benefited me the most are the study groups that we鈥檇 do before our exams. We would all get together the night before a difficult exam and we would put all the information on the white board and that really benefited us.

Why Join?

I encourage students to join the LLC because you always have a support system because everyone is going through the same things and classes.

People should join the LLC because you鈥檙e never alone here. I think it鈥檚 so great to have the relationships here. Specially the constant help with work. I know that if I need any help with a question, or honestly anything, I can go to anyone on the floor and speak honestly and they鈥檒l be there for me because we鈥檙e all going through it together, we鈥檙e on the same page and we鈥檙e all here to support each other.

Why you should join the LLC is because you get to be close with the people you鈥檒l be. Working with in the future and it鈥檚 just such a beneficial experience and I love it and I wouldn鈥檛 do anything differently.

I encourage students to join the LLC because you always have a support system since everyone is going through the same things and specially the same classes.

I think it鈥檚 very beneficial to join the LLC because you have people around you that constantly support you and have the same goals as you. We strive to be successful. I鈥檓 happy to say that living in the LLC helped me find a second family and a second home. So, join the LLC because you鈥檒l always have the people around you that you can talk to study go out to eat, or hang out and continue to grow upon with one another. I also think it helps you grow academically because if you have trouble with the material, you can always ask the people around you and help each other out.
