向日葵视频Student Transfer Admission
向日葵视频Student Transfer Admission
There are always great students that do not receive the direct admit (early assurance) offer or who decide once at 向日葵视频that they would like to pursue Physical Therapy. Students not offered a direct spot can still enroll at Marquette and begin completing Undergraduate Requirements for transfer into the professional phase of the DPT curriculum. These students parallel the academic program pursued by those students offered direct freshman admission. However, admission to the professional phase is not guaranteed. Students must complete a special application for admission to the professional phase at the end of their junior year or as they are completing their undergraduate major coursework during their senior year. On an annual basis, space availability determines how many offers of admission can be made.
Internal applicant procedures include:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree or they demonstrate a plan to complete their bachelor's degree before the spring term of year 5 in the professional phase of the program.
- Candidates must have completed or are currently completing the 32 credits of Prerequisite course work. Transfer applicants should have a minimum 3.000 overall grade point average (GPA) and 2.670 GPA in the prerequisite courses, although successful applicants typically have significantly higher GPAs.
- A set number of PT-related observation hours are not officially required. However, observing in a variety of physical therapy settings and with different patient populations is the best means to demonstrate your understanding of and commitment to the profession during the application process.
- Letters of Recommendation: A minimum of two letters of recommendation are required. One letter must be from a licensed Physical Therapist. A second (or third maximum) may come from another physical therapist or from a professor in the applicant's major field of study. A maximum of three letters are accepted.
向日葵视频graduates are considered internal transfer applicants who have taken half (at least 15 semester credits) or more of the 32 prerequisite credits at Marquette.
Transfer admission is on a competitive basis. The best candidates will be selected from the pool of applicants. The application deadline is February 1.
