Employers in the Classroom

Occasionally an employer may reach out to faculty and staff to visit a classroom or student organization in order to recruit students for internship and full-time positions. You are never obligated to allow an unsolicited employer access to your students.

Employers who wish to meet with faculty and staff are encouraged to first connect with the Career Center. A member of the Employer Relations team will meet with the organization to discuss employer services and learn about the employer's career opportunities.  After this initial meeting, the Career Center will then coordinate and host a joint meeting with the appropriate faculty member(s) and employer representatives.

If you would like to learn more about how the Career Center can connect you with employers for classroom or student organization visits please contact us.

Fair Labor Criteria

Whether you're trying to identify fair labor criteria for an internship or you want insights that will help with your decisions on how to recommend or refer students for career-building opportunities, these guidelines will be useful tools.
