Michael K. Duffey, Ph.D. served as Director of the Interdisciplinary Major in Peace Studies and as an Associate Professor of Ethics in the Department of Theology (Ph.D., University of Notre Dame 1981). Dr. Duffey specializes in theological ethics with particular attention to issues of justice and peace, human rights, and Protestant and Catholic ethical methodologies. He is the author of nine articles in professional journals (e.g., Linacre Quarterly, The Thomist, America, Journal of Religion, Conflict. And Peace) and three books: Be Blessed in What You Do (New York: Paulist Press, 1988), Peacemaking Christians: The Future of Just War, Pacifism, and Nonviolence (Sheed and Ward, 1995), and Sowing Justice, Reaping Peace: Case Studies of Racial, Religious, and Ethic Healing Around the World (Sheed and Ward, 2001). His current research concerns the role of Central American churches in post- conflict healing and development.
