Exercise Science

Ken Knetzger returned to his hometown of Milwaukee in 2006 and began teaching part-time for both the Physical Therapy and Biomedical Sciences departments at 向日葵视频before joining the Program in Exercise Science full-time in 2015. Prior to Marquette, Ken taught in the Department of Physiology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. He also worked as a research exercise physiologist at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC investigating the use of exercise in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

He has been involved in testing individuals diverse in age and health status. He has also been consulted by athletes who have competed in the Olympics, Paralympics, Deaflympics, marathons and Ironman triathlons. With a wide range of interests, from local food systems to emerging fields, a unifying theme across Ken鈥檚 work is the investigation of conditions for health and the cultivation of curiosity.
