Research Interests
I work primarily in feminist philosophy, critical epistemology, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. I think and write a lot about the methods we employ when doing philosophy, and about the ways that those methods often reproduce injustice and oppression. I have authored/co-authored articles and book chapters about charitable interpretation in academic philosophy, white confessions of racism, the underrepresentation of female-identified undergraduate students in philosophy, and student-faculty power dynamics in collaborative research projects. I am most excited about a project that I (and fellow philosopher Rachel Silverbloom) have recently begun: co-editing a volume dedicated to Sara Ahmed鈥檚 work. When I'm not philosophizing, I am watching reality television, baking, and walking at the lake. Preferred pronouns: she/her.
