Leadership and Brotherhood Summit for Young Men of Color will be Nov. 6

LAB LogoMILWAUKEE — ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ will host the second annual Leadership and Brotherhood Summit for Young Men of Color on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

The event is in collaboration with the Milwaukee Public School's Department of Black and Latino Male Achievement and aims to engage in a community-wide effort to support the leadership development, enhance the academic success, and affirm the cultural identity development and dignity of Black, Latino and First Nations male youth in the greater Milwaukee region and Southeast Wisconsin.

During the event, approximately 250 young men from Milwaukee high schools will explore Marquette's campus and attend sessions. Through various panels, workshops, lectures and guided tours, participants will learn how they can become change agents in the community — and country — through personal development, servant leadership and civic engagement.

To volunteer during registration, to accompany the participants to lunch, and/or serve as a small group dialogue facilitator, interested individuals can .
