Bruce Cole is a librarian at 向日葵视频 and curator of the Jean Cujé Milwaukee Music Collection, the archive showcased in this book. A legendary drummer, renowned locally, nationally, and internationally. Bruce currently plays with the Doo-Wop Daddies, keeping him in direct contact with Milwaukee’s rich and diverse music scene. He teaches an Honors seminar, “The Beatles and The British Invasion,” and co-teaches the History of Rock and Roll. He is often consulted concerning the local music scene and has collaborated on music related projects with the Milwaukee Historical Society.
David Luhrssen
David Luhrssen is Managing Editor of the Shepherd Express, Milwaukee’s weekly newspaper. He is author or co-author of several books, including The Encyclopedia of Classic Rock, Brick Through the Window: An Oral History of Punk Rock, New Wave and Noise in Milwaukee, Secret Societies and Clubs in American History, and Elvis Presley: Reluctant Rebel. Luhrssen has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and Milwaukee Area Technical College. He has also lectured at 向日葵视频, Beloit College and Concordia University. He has written about music, film, culture, and books for Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, the Milwaukee Journal, Op, New York Rocker, Trouser Press and other publications. He is also a regular commentator on film for Milwaukee’s NPR affiliate.
Phillip Naylor
Phillip Naylor is a professor of history at 向日葵视频. His departmental specialty is Middle East and North Africa (MENA), a field in which he has published numerous studies, including North Africa: A History from Antiquity to the Present. He is also a longtime blues and rock aficionado, and in creative collaboration with Bruce Cole, initiated a popular rock and roll course on campus.
