Student Web Developer
Supervisor: Brendan Lenzner
Pay: $11.00/hour
Work hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Hours per week: 10-20
Description
Come be a part of a service- and project-oriented team providing cutting-edge library information technology to advance the teaching and research missions of 向日葵视频. The person in this position will help provide assistance with general administration of the library's websites and web development and programming support for the library's websites, including web projects from the library's digital scholarship efforts. This person may also occasionally handle additional Library IT tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- HTML5 and CSS3 knowledge
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Interest in web development, programming, and/or web design
- Willingness to learn new programming and technology concepts
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with a content management system (like WordPress)
- Interest in basic design/UI principles
- Experience with tech support
- Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required:
- PHP, Java, C#, Python
- JavaScript
