Julie Creamer, Nurs ’80, was elected to the ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ Board of Trustees in 2023.
She is president of Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas. The system’s integrated delivery network includes Baylor Scott & White Health Plan, Baylor Scott & White Research Institute, Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance and its leading digital health platform, MyBSWHealth. Through 52 hospitals and nearly 1,300 access points, including flagship academic medical centers in Dallas, Fort Worth and Temple, the system offers the full continuum of care, from primary to award-winning specialty care, as well as an array of virtual and in-home services.
In her role, Creamer ensures Baylor Scott & White delivers care that exceeds customer expectations by advancing operational excellence. She is accountable for system operations, information technology and joint ventures.
An experienced executive, Creamer joined Baylor Scott & White from Northwestern Medicine, where she served on the health system’s executive team for 25 years. Most recently, while providing oversight to two of the health system’s regions, she served as president of Northwestern Memorial Hospital — the health system’s anchor research hospital — and president of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. In prior roles, she served as senior vice president and chief transformation executive, vice president of operations and quality, and chief nurse executive. She began her career 40 years ago as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit.
Creamer holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ.
