Crossing Boundaries: The Movement of People, Goods,鈥痑nd Ideas鈥痳ecognizes that boundaries can take many forms, and that although they can be鈥�barriers, they can also inspire鈥�passages鈥痜or people, ideas, values, and countless other kinds of 鈥渕igrations.鈥濃��� The images in this exhibit suggest just a few of the myriad ways in which this theme in the Discovery Tier engages the social, political, scientific, spiritual, economic, and personal contexts in which movements and migrations occur.鈥�疌urrently, scarcely any country in the world is not affected in some way by migration. Not only does migration reward interdisciplinary study; it demands it, if we are to begin to grasp its complexity and respond effectively.
