Crossing Boundaries: Comm 2500
Crossing Boundaries: Comm 2500 features photographs from diverse locales by contemporary artists Stella Johnson, Jason Larkin, Alec Soth, and Mila Teshaieva. The exhibition was created to facilitate a content analysis assignment for COMM 2500, a research methods class led by Dr. James Pokrywczynski. Various quantitative and qualitative research methods are taught throughout the course. Each semester the class makes use of the Haggerty Museum of Art by completing a content analysis exercise in which students "code" a variety of art pieces from museum exhibitions as a way to practice and reinforce concepts presented in class lectures. This semester the 90 Comm 2500 students will complete the assignment virtually, but have the opportunity to visit the museum to see the work in person.
