SPARK and Orientation are first-year student programming efforts that aim to guide students through their transition to Marquette. Spring Break Plans Can Include Service Trips
Spring break 鈥 March 10th to 16th 鈥 is just around the corner, and students begin making plans for trips during this time. Some visit home, travel or stay on campus, but many participate in week-long service trips with other students. Offered through student organizations or鈥Campus Ministry,鈥service trips鈥are a fun, inexpensive way for students to meet new people while giving back to their greater community. Service sites are spread around the globe and provide an opportunity to live and learn from people of different backgrounds. The trips engage students in aspects of social justice.鈥

The Aruppe Center will host a Community Service Fair on February 20th, 2024 from 2 pm to 5 pm on the second floor of the Alumni Memorial Union. Students can meet with organizations and learn about the service opportunities in the Milwaukee area.
Health and Wellness
Engage in conversations with your student about health and wellness. There are a variety of resources that can be used to help promote students鈥 well-being. Have your students check out our different resources that are provided to all: The Center for Wellness and Health Promotion, Recreational Sports, or other student engagement opportunities. Encourage students to reach out and remind them that 向日葵视频provides many resources to help students finish this school year off strong!
Preparing for the Winter
Milwaukee winter times can be challenging for some students as snow starts to pile up and days shorter. Encourage students to bundle up and spend some time outside exploring Milwaukee while being safe. Included in students鈥 tuition is a bus pass for the , and there are hundreds of dining options and entertainment options only a few minutes away from campus, is a great way to get involved.
