Engineering Student Council, with support from the Opus College of Engineering, will host Engineers Week (E-Week) from Feb. 16 to Feb. 24, 2024. E-Week is part of a national celebration to honor the many ways engineers make a difference through their profession. This year鈥檚 activities include social events, giveaways and Engineering Cake Wars!

Engineering Innovate-o-thon sponsored by Marmon Holdings Inc. | 5p.m. to 12p.m. the following day | Engineering Hall
Marmon Holdings challenges teams of engineering students to solve a real engineering challenge from one of its businesses. Teams will have 18 hours to develop a winning solution and 10 minutes to present to Marmon executives. The specific challenge is a mystery until teams arrive.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your engineering skills, connect with a major employer, and have fun working on a real project! The winning team from the Fall Innovate-o-Thon is now working with Marmon to continue developing and commercializing their solution.
This challenge is open to 向日葵视频undergraduate and graduate engineering students.

Engineering Cake Wars | 5:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. | E-Hall Discovery Learning Center
The annual cake decorating contest returns to Engineering Hall! Teams of engineers are challenged to decorate a themed cake without any store-bought tools. Instead, students are encouraged to engineer and build their own knives, frosting tips, spatulas, cake cutters and more ahead of time. Some previous participants have used 3D printing and laser cutting to create tools, while others rely simply on tinfoil, cardboard and other materials.
