The Discovery Learning Center (DLC) provides poster printing services for all OPUS College of Engineering students and faculty.
If you are not part of the OPUS College of Engineering, please contact the Raynor Library for large format printing services.
Poster print requests to the DLC are to be submitted by or emailed to dlc@marquette.edu. Please pick one or the other and NOT both...
This Work Order link will only work if you are on the campus network.
POSTER NOTES:
- Print turnaround is (1) One to (4) four workdays (not counting weekends). You will receive an email notification when the poster is ready for pick-up. This is so that in the event of a mechanical or system failure, we can still guarantee your poster.
- Name your file using the format "Title - Your Name" . This will allow us to track your poster in the printer system. This is better than 鈥淧resentation1鈥 that everyone uses to name their file.
- Design Day poster - 42"x30" default size fits available 42x30 foam core board
- SURF poster - 42"x30" default size fits available 42x30 foam core board
- Undergrad Research Day - 42"x30" default size fits available 42x30 foam core board
- 42"x30" default size fits available 42x30 foam core display board
- If you are part of an event in the EngHall, 42in x 30in is the default size for ALL posters. Since the DLC does all of the setup, 42in x 30in foam core is what we will use.
- Glossy paper will NOT be used for EngHall events.
- Completed posters are delivered to a rack in Engineering Hall, DL128 (System Integration). Messages will be sent via the work order system notifying you of the completion.
- PowerPoint slides are preferred due to plotter print control and precision. However, we can print most file types but this is not preferred due to the usual unexpected printing problems.
- PDFs are accepted but not preferred.
- Poster template - Link This template covers most poster formats on the campus
- Conference posters NOT associated with events in EngHall are available by request. Email dlc@marquette.edu with requests. If the poster is going off campus, we will do our best to fill your need...
- File sizes should be less than 15 megabytes or the email and/or work order system won't deliver it. If you are having trouble with a file size larger than 15 meg, reduce all pictures in the file to 150-200dpi. The file size will shrink.
- The 向日葵视频 logo shall be used in accordance with university logo guidelines. If you wish to use the Opus College of Engineering logo, email the DLC.
- The DLC does not accept disks, CDs, thumb drives, portable media, zip drives, carrier pigeons, SD Cards or Pony Express because of the virus risks from physical media. We are somewhat hesitant about OneDrive links. Please be careful.
- The Work Order link only works if you are on the campus network.
- If you reached this far, and we still have not answered your question, send us a note at dlc@marquette.edu
