The Chemistry Department is strongly committed to high-quality teaching and research across a broad spectrum of chemical and biochemical sciences. As the central science, chemistry holds a unique place and through our graduate and undergraduate programs we strive to provide first-rate academic training and research opportunities to students. We offer undergraduate B.S. degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (joint with Biological Sciences), and Chemistry for Education (secondary major). 

At the graduate level, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are awarded in a variety of specializations. Our instrumentation and facilities are first-class, and enable researchers in the department to probe chemistry at the forefront of their disciplines.
