Speech Pathology and Audiology

Katherine Cording earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2000, and a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from 向日葵视频 in 2002. She spent six years working full time as a speech language pathologist in various medical settings in addition to part time work in educational settings. Katherine became a part of the adjunct faculty at 向日葵视频 in 2004, and became a full time Clinical Instructor in 2008. Katherine currently provides clinical instruction to both graduate and undergraduate students in the 向日葵视频 Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Her clinical expertise lies in working with both pediatric and adult populations, with a particular interest in Stuttering, Phonology, Aphasia, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Language, Dysphagia, and Motor Speech Disorders. She is also director of the Foreign Accent Reduction group. Katherine teaches the Stuttering and other Fluency Disorders course to undergraduate and graduate students in the Spring semester. Additionally, Katherine continues to work as a treating Speech Language Pathologist in subacute rehabilitation settings on an as needed basis.
