I came to ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵlooking to immerse myself in a new environment. Watching the leaves change color and then seeing snow for the first time was the highlight of my freshman year. The campus is so beautiful and dynamic that you start to look forward to each new day here.

I decided to come to ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵfor multiple reasons, however, there is one thing that really impacted my decision and that is the people in Marquette’s community. As an international student, it can be hard to understand the process of applying and changing to a new country, but people were so generous with their time and willingness to help. The international office, my coaches, my team and the people I met on campus were all very receptive and welcoming. I learned so much at Marquette. I am so grateful for the education I get here and for all the people I have met and created a lifetime bond with.

The slogan of ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ, "Be the difference" had first attracted me. It has always encouraged and inspired me since my freshman year. This slogan allowed me to gradually find my characteristics and style in college life instead of following the crowd. Especially during the epidemic year, I chose to stay on campus. It helped me conquer homesickness and felt how caring ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵis to each student. ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ has been giving me so many opportunities to explore and grow up, making me a better version of myself and getting closer to my dreams.

I chose ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ because it is interested in personal development, and not just in the transmission of knowledge. Of course, it was also the national and international renown of the university that led to my choice. ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ is based on personalized support for students, facilitated by smaller classes size. Thus, this allows professors to be at our service as students and to support us in our projects. In addition, I have never felt alone here because there are always people of good faith who are there to help me at every stage of my student life. It is truly a pride and a privilege to be part of the ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ family.

I chose ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵfor three reasons. First, it has so many opportunities for students to expand their horizons and gain experience through clubs and organizations, including leadership opportunities. ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵhas helped me develop an incredible network of outstanding people everywhere I go and make new friends! The second reason is the university's location. Milwaukee is a vibrant and diverse city, and there is always something to do. I get to live in an urban space while being surrounded by nature. And third, the academic program. ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵhas high academic expectations and standards.Yet, most professors are always open to solve any questions we might have. But most importantly, they are open to help us succeed academically, morally, and socially to achieve our goals in order to Be The Difference.

I chose ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵbecause of the amazing neuroscience research opportunities that it has to offer and its rigorous Biomedical Sciences program! One of my favorite things about ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵis exemplified by the fact that I'm currently taking a class with just three students in it. The connections that you can build here with your peers and your professors is invaluable. The beautiful campus and being located minutes away from downtown is just an added bonus!

Cura personalis â€“ the care for the whole person – is a philosophy that ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵ strives to uphold, and I have been fortunate enough to experience this firsthand. I’ve grown not only in academics and but also in leadership all through the excellent education and the passionate and caring teachers at Marquette. My love for science has only deepened especially with the various opportunities to do hands-on research. Equally important is how I was able and continue to forge life-long relationships during my time here for which I will always cherish and be grateful!

I was drawn to ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵbecause coming to Milwaukee was both a big opportunity and a personal challenge for me. I wanted to learn more about foreign cultures and continue my education. In addition, ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵenabled me to continue my athletic development while representing the Men's Tennis team. I think that future Golden Eagles will be impressed by a strong sense of community and supportive advising infrastructure that helps international students with the transition to an entirely different educational system.
