COVID-19 Vaccine Information
向日葵视频does not require a COVID-19 vaccination with the exception of those who are studying or working in clinical or other settings that require vaccinations. Those exceptions will be managed at the college or department level.
向日葵视频continues to strongly recommend that all students, faculty and staff get vaccinated against COVID-19 and stay up to date with COVID-19 Vaccines. COVID-19 vaccination decreases severity of illness and hospitalizations for those infected.

- Everyone aged 6 months and older should get a 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine.
- Recommended COVID-19 Vaccines: Two vaccines are currently available for use in the United States:
2024-2025 Moderna
2024-2025 Pfizer
Note: Novavax vaccine is no longer available
- Children aged 6 months - 4 years are up to date, when they have received all recommended doses including at least one dose of the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine.
Number of doses needed depends on which vaccine, if any, they have already received.
- Children ages 5-11 years and people aged 12 years and older are up to date when you have received:
1 dose of the 2024-2025 Moderna vaccine OR
1 dose of the 2024-2025 Pfizer BioNTech vaccine
- may get an additional dose of updated COVID-19 vaccine 2 or more months after the last recommended COVID-19 vaccine. For more information talk to your healthcare professional.
- People aged 65 years and older, do not need a second dose of the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine unless they are moderately or severely immunocompromised.
- People who are up to date have lower risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19 than people who are unvaccinated or who have not completed the doses recommended for them by CDC.
- People who recently had COVID-19
May delay getting the updated COVID-19 2024-2025 vaccine for 3 months
Risk of getting COVID is less likley in the weeks to months after having COVID-19 infection
Certain factors may be reason to get vaccine sooner than 3 months including risk of severe disease or self or family member. Individuals should discuss with their healthcare professional.
- People who received COVID-19 Vaccine Everyone ages 6 months and older vaccinated outside of the United States should receive at least one dose of 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine regardless of past COVID-19 vaccination history.
