OFFICES OF THE VICE PRESIDENTS VICE PRESIDENT FOR THE OFFICE OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING

Administrative History:  The position of Vice President for Academic Affairs was created in 1954. It was assigned general and executive responsibility for the administration and supervision of the university鈥檚 undergraduate, graduate and professional schools and various academic support programs. The position was discontinued in 2002, with many core responsibilities transferred to the newly created Office of Provost (see A-1.4 Office of the Provost).

Scope and Content:  These records are arranged into three subseries: Subseries 3 consists of mainly unrestricted records; 3.1 consists of restricted records; and 3.1P consists of restricted personnel files.


Restrictions:  Access to select records from the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs is restricted. Otherwise, access to these records is unrestricted. However, the researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of these records.
