History: St. Joseph Church, Monticello, Utah, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish with some Native American (Navajo, Paiute, Ute) parishioners in the Diocese of Salt Lake City (Archives: Salt Lake City, Utah). St. Joseph鈥檚 has been administered by Salt Lake City diocesan priests (1959-1999) and Jesuits (2000-present) who have attended to the following Native American missions in Utah:
