History: St. Bernard Church, McLaughlin, Standing Rock Reservation, South Dakota, has been a mixed Native (Hunkpapa Lakota) and non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Rapid City (Archives: Rapid City, South Dakota). Benedictines (St. Meinrad Archabbey) (Archives: St. Meinrad, Indiana) at St. Bernard鈥檚 had attended to the following Native American (Hunkpapa Lakota) missions on the Standing Rock Reservation:
