History: Founded in Germany, 1851, the Sisters of Divine Providence self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淐.D.P.鈥� They made their first U.S. foundation, 1876, and have administered the parish religious education program at Immaculate Conception Church (Maya), Clinton, North Carolina, 2009-present.
