History: Benedictines established Mount Angel Abbey, 1882, which was raised to an Abbey, 1904.  Mount Angel Benedictines administered the following Native American missions and parishes:

1895-1899 (transferred to Portland Archdiocese)

St. Francis Xavier Mission (Cowlitz), Toledo/ Cowlitz Prairie, Washington

1900-1901 (transferred to Portland Archdiocese)

St. Michael the Archangel Mission (Grand Ronde), Grande Ronde, Grand Ronde Reservation, Oregon

1915-1934 (transferred to Portland Archdiocese)

Chemawa Government Indian School (e.g. Chinook, Klamath, Grand Ronde, Siletz), Salem, Oregon

2000-2010s

St./ Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel (Bannock, Shoshoni), Fort Hall, Fort Hall Reservation, Idaho

2000-2010s

St. Bernard Church (Bannock, Shoshoni), Blackfoot, Idaho
