History: The Benedictine Sisters self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淥.S.B.鈥� Benedictine Sisters from Iowa responded to a call to teach near present-day Guthrie, Oklahoma, 1889, which became St. Joseph Monastery three years later. The Benedictine Sisters of Tulsa taught at St. Edward School (e.g. Choctaw), Pittsburg, Pittsburg County, Choctaw Nation, Oklahoma, 1919-1925.
