History: St. Ann Church, Elgin, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Sterling, and Mother of Sorrows Church, Apache, have comprised a combined Tri-Parish Catholic Community in Comanche County and in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Mother of Sorrows Church: Established 1908, Mother of Sorrows has been a mixed Native (Apache) and non-Native American parish, from which Oklahoma City arch/diocesan priests had attended to the following missions among Native Americans in Caddo County, Oklahoma:
