History: St. Stephen Church and School, Minneapolis, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis (Archives: St. Paul, Minnesota), which has been administered by St. Paul and Minneapolis archdiocesan priests.

Sister Irene (Kathryn) De Marrais (Sisseton-Wahpeton, 1915-2004) of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, served the parish with home visitations and teaching part-time in the school
