Franciscans (Santo Evangelico Province) (Archives: Puebla, Mexico), including Fray Fermin de Lasuen, O.F.M. [Franciscans], established and administered La Pur铆sima Concepci贸n de Maria Santisima Mission (Chumash), Lompoc

Chumash Indians at La Pur铆sima and Santa In茅s Missions revolted against local Mexican military authority and were joined by Indians at San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Santa B谩rbara, San Buenaventura, and San Fernando Rey de Espa帽a Missions; the revolt disrupted activities at the mission for several months
