History: Founded 2015, the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit, accepted as its principal mission, the Native American Ministry in the Diocese of Phoenix (Archives: Phoenix, Arizona). In so doing, the Friars have administered St. John the Baptist Church, Laveen, Gila River Reservation (Maricopa, Pima), Arizona, and have attended to the following Native American missions in the Phoenix Diocese.
