Holdings of Catholic records about Native Americans: Include a 19th century letter (copy, ca. 1867) by Amanda McFarland to Sheldon Jackson, which in part, expresses fear that Catholic missionaries (e.g. Oblates of Mary Immaculate) were attempting to 鈥渕ove into鈥� the Alaskan panhandle. Both McFarland and Jackson were Presbyterian missionaries.
