History: Founded in Italy by St. Gaspar de Bufalo, 1815, the Society of the Precious Blood (a.k.a. Missionaries of the Precious Blood), made its first U.S. foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio, 1844, with its members self-identifying with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淐.P.P.S.鈥� Its missionaries from the Kansas City Province administered the following Native American (Cherokee) parishes in Oklahoma.
