History: Founded in Ireland, 1775, the Sisters of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary self-identify with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淧.B.V.M.鈥� They made their first U.S. foundation in Dubuque, Iowa, 1874, under the leadership of Mother Vincent Hennessy. Sisters from the congregation have served the following ministries among Native Americans.
