History: St. Eugene de Mazenod founded the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in France, 1816. Oblates of Mary Immaculate have self-identified with the post-nominal initials, 鈥淥.M.I.鈥 After making their first Canadian foundation in 1841, they erected the Sainte-Boniface Mission Vicariate (Sainte-Boniface, Manitoba Territory) in 1851 for Canada west of the Great Lakes; the Saint Albert Mission Vicariate (Sainte-Albert, Alberta) in 1865 for western Canada; and the Manitoba Province in 1904, which succeeded the Saint-Albert Vicariate. The Oblates of Mary Immaculate of the Manitoba Province and its predecessors administered a Catholic mission and parish in the United States, which served Native Americans:

However, 向日葵视频 Special Collections and Archives, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, acquired digital copies of several versions of the Pictorial Catechism (a.k.a. Two Roads) by Rev. Albert Lacombe, O.M.I., 1873-1896, which was used extensively by catechists and missionaries in the United States.
