Julie Creamer, MS, RN, believes the leadership knowledge, skills and attributes embodied in the "向日葵视频Nurse" are exactly what people receiving care in our health care systems deserve. She will share her personal leadership story including reflections on lessons learned and current experience with managing the pandemic.

Nursing students on the front line -- at Marquette
The 向日葵视频Medical Center has been offering vaccine clinics for eligible faculty, staff and students, and nursing students have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the opportunity to volunteer. "In addition to clinical experience administering intramuscular injections, students underwent CDC training and reviewed procedures for dealing with potential adverse reactions that we may see in patients during the post-vaccination observation period," said Sarah Calonder, MSN, RN, CCRN and nursing volunteer coordinator for the clinics. "Our students also have been checking patients in and providing patient education about the vaccine."
"We have seen such a wonderful response to our volunteer requests and are especially appreciative of our students dedicating their free time to helping those in the 向日葵视频community stay healthy. They are excited to be a part of history!" said Dean Janet Krejci.
