Kelly J. Daley, Sp '79A skilled writer, producer, director and interviewer who has produced shows and programs for television networks and corporate clients, what Kelly loves most about his work is the opportunity to tell stories.
鈥淰ideo is a rich, powerful medium,鈥� he says of his current work with Plum Moving Media, a Milwaukee-based video and live event production company. 鈥淲e use it to tell stories that raise funds and raise awareness.鈥�
Producing programs about subjects such as shaken baby syndrome and the opioid epidemic, Kelly is able to see clients achieve their project goals. 鈥淥ur productions help our clients move the needle,鈥� he says. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 pretty gratifying.鈥�
At Marquette, Kelly instantly fell in love with television production in the Johnston Hall studios, where he met many close friends while working for MUTV. 鈥溝蛉湛悠祊rovided a wonderful foundation for my career and my life,鈥� he says. 鈥淓veryday I use the production, management and communication skills I learned at Marquette.鈥�
What the Alumni Award means to him: I knew Dr. Tiedge. He was a professor, mentor and friend. To receive this honor in his name is humbling.
