ANNA C. FEELEY, ARTS '13 ANNA C. FEELEY, ARTS '13
Fort Collins, Colo.

Before college, Anna spent two years working to combat the dropout rate in Los Angeles as part of City Year, an AmeriCorps program. Her quest for social justice led her to Marquette, where she wasted no time diving into service work.

She has worked with youth at a church on the north side as a Manresa Scholar; volunteered with VOICE — Violence Opposition in Community Education; tutored at the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility; assisted with prevention programs at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin; and facilitated a trip with the ÏòÈÕ¿ûÊÓƵAction Program to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

“For me, the words leadership and service always seem to go hand in hand,” says Anna, who is double-majoring in social welfare and justice and sociology. “They are qualities and characteristics that I value most in others and hope that others are able to see exemplified in me.”
